Energy Performance of Rental Properties in Victoria

EnergyConsult conducted research into the energy efficiency and conditions of rental housing in Victoria to provide insights into whether the efficiency and conditions differed from owner-occupied homes. A review and analysis of existing research was conducted and then energy audits were conducted of 60 rental properties, using Moreland Energy Foundation to conduct the audits. Identified areas where significant improvements in the energy and water efficiency of housing could be obtained.
