CBA for new hot water requirements in Victoria
EnergyConsult undertook a cost benefit analysis of the potential impacts of various national MEPS level options if applied to Victoria. This analysis considered the take up of the different water heating technology types in areas with and without reticulated gas. As well as accounting for various levels of hot water consumption in different climate zones and the impact of existing State MEPS. The costs of implementing the different MEPS and the energy savings and cost savings were all calculated.
