Cold Hard Facts 3: Model Development

Modelled the energy usage, carbon dioxide and refrigerant stocks of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry from 2016 to 2030.

Australia’s refrigeration and air conditioning equipment was modelled for current energy, emissions and refrigerant gas stocks and emissions for both current quantities as well as future predicted use up to 2030. Cold Hard Facts 3 was the most recent report in a series of examinations and assessments of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry. The model includes the bank of refrigeration gasses by species and is based on the individual charges, stock and installations of all refrigeration and air conditioning products in the Australian economy, with projections to 2030. The project was conducted under subcontract to Expert Group.
