Investigating the Efficiency of Data Centres & Wide Area Networks
The report investigated the introduction of “intelligent efficiency” measures in data centres (DCs) and wide area networks (WANs).
The objective of the report was to investigate the estimated energy consumption of DCs and WANs in relation to the increasing number of network connected devices. Also provided are case studies and finding into “intelligent” practices and efforts (including any new and innovative techniques) to reduce the energy consumption of DCs and WANs. This report was part of a series of reports relating to the energy usage of network connected devices.
