Hot Water Policy Framework for Australia and New Zealand

The policy framework was created as a roadmap for future regulatory development of hot water systems in Australia and NZ

The report included reviewing all existing data on hot water efficiency, as well as providing a snapshot and history of the regulation of various hot water heating systems in Australia and NZ. The work also includes an international review of options used elsewhere that may be of some relevance to Australia and NZ. In addition to reviewing new technical developments and analysing policy options that will most effectively deliver on the core objectives. The final report includes the associated workstreams and broad costs/benefits for each identified policy option, as well as a policy roadmap of potential policy options. The report was commissioned for the E3 program.
