Air Conditioner RIS Modelling and Advice

EnergyConsult assisted in the preparation of a consultation and decision regulation impact statement (RIS) to assess the costs and benefits of altering Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) and product labelling for all electric air conditioners. The scope of air conditioners included multi-splits, room, packaged, ducted, chillers and computer room air conditioners. Provided services included market characteristics, sales/stock and energy/demand forecasting, cost benefit analysis, technical advice and stakeholder consultation. A number of policy options were explored to assess impacts in Australia and New Zealand.
