A study was prepared on the current energy use and potential energy efficiency opportunities for video game consoles in Australia and New Zealand. The study examines the current and projected energy use of games and consoles until to 2020. Included are options for policy intervention, such as a proposal for a Voluntary Agreement with the game console suppliers. EnergyConsult also consulted with the major industry stakeholders and tested their products in laboratories.
