A Policy Case for Connected Devices
A global business case was prepared to support the implementation of government policies related to reducing network standby energy and installing energy aware devices.
The global business case (“policy case”) assessed the costs and benefits of policies for network standby and for energy aware devices to build a global cost-benefit analysis for policy in this area. Included in the policy case were Summaries of the key existing policies and approaches, along with pros and cons of each. An action plan & policy toolkit was developed for countries wishing to implement policies related to network standby energy and connected devices. This report was part of a series of reports relating to the energy usage of network connected devices
