Baseline TV Power Consumption Assessment

This study aimed to establish the power consumption characteristics for LCD and Plasma TVs. The study was conducted during the introduction of the Voluntary Labelling Scheme and before the introduction of the planned mandatory MEPS and Energy Labelling program. Using data sourced from GfK Australia, over 100 TV models were tested for this study, which represented 40% of the sales of all TVs during the month of April 2009
