Field Trial of Energy Saving Device

EnergyConsult conducted a field trial of an Embertec energy saving device in 20 residential properties in Adelaide.  The device targets the wasted energy in the audio visual and PC environments. A two stage field trial was conducted to first validate the functionality and switching intervals of Embertec, and secondly to determine the energy efficiency derived from Embertec. The trial used an innovative approach of measuring energy savings from the device which relied on the simulation of energy saving functions. The report was confidential, however it was used to determine the deeming values for various energy saving schemes in Victoria and South Australia.
