For the national Equipment Energy Efficiency program, EnergyConsult prepared a product profile which analysed the nature of the gas ducted space heating market. The analysis included the technical potential to improve the average efficiency of ducted gas heaters and the economic, social and environmental impacts of the voluntary programs or MEPS regulations. Options for increasing the energy efficiency of the heaters and for lowering emissions were developed and recommendations made.
