Promoting Energy Efficiency in Papua New Guinea
PEEP, which is funded by GEF and administered by the Asian Development Bank, is aimed at promoting energy efficiency in five large south pacific countries. The activities of the project include development of comprehensive energy databases, establishment of institutions, issuance of supporting government policies and regulation, large-scale education/awareness and capacity building, and implementation of pilot energy efficiency projects. Activities in each of the five countries are managed by one dedicated energy efficiency expert. EnergyConsult staff were responsible for implementation all project activities in the largest economy in the program, Papua New Guinea.
