Research on MEPS for Space Heaters in Rental Properties

Conducted an evaluation of space heaters in Victoria, utilizing modelling, surveys and CBA’s to facilitate new MEPS in rental properties.

Research primarily focused on assessing the energy performance of space heaters, as well as assessing the characteristics of the existing Victorian market. The holistic evaluation involved surveying, research, modelling and conducting multiple cost benefit analysis, all applied to a range of heating specification scenarios. This data was used in the creation of the first rental property-specific Minimum Energy Performance Standards for space heaters in Victoria.
