Analysis of Residential Heating and Cooling Performance Improvements
EnergyConsult conducted a detailed analysis of the private and non-private costs and benefits associated with improving the energy efficiency of residential heating and cooling systems in South Australia. The assessment considered several scenarios involving the installation of thermal improvements (insulation, zoning, etc.) and technology efficiency measures (increased efficiency, ducting insulation, etc.) when householders installed cooling or heating equipment. EnergyConsult designed the project model, comprised of the house and appliance stock and the cost benefit analysis and prepared the final project report. Additionally, EnergyConsult assessed the energy impacts by modelling potential building improvements, as well as conducted researched and modelling around efficiencies of appliance improvements and appliance stock turnover.
